Err, I think this may belong in SuparNOVA 2 CS (J). Neutral

But yeah, this game really is fun. A good number of us on this board, mainly in the aforementioned thread, have Japanese PS2's and SN2 CS (J), hehe. Happy I passed Pluto Relinquish Expert on a foam pad at my friend's house, in an attempt to finally play this game on a pad. Tongue

But anyway, I clicked on this topic because of the title. I think Florida (the Gators) is a really a fun team to watch, for football and basketball. They aren't doing extraordinarily well in basketball this year, but they WERE the first team to win two back-to-back national basketball championships last year, and the year before.

And as far as football, Tim Tebow is the Chuck Norris of football. Seriously. Ever see some of those charges he does? Shocked Sometimes I feel as if I may be biased since my dad in an avid Gators fan (I am not particularly interested in sports, but it's fun to watch the Gators every now and then), but they really are a good team. Not always the best, but usually pretty good.

It seems that we have a handful of Floridians on this site. Two of them I go to school with but they post as much as I do.

I read on the DDR SN2 NA thread that the pads at the Sawgrass Mills are in bad shape. So much for me going over there to try it out.

Not really, come down and test them yourself. Im there alot, they seem to have fixed it. Because when they first upgraded, the left pad had alot of problems. But like 2 fridays ago, i played 4 hours straight on it, and not a hitch. Same with today, i was there, in and out, for hours, and not a problem.

Yeah, the pads arent quality, but they are perfectly playable. The other two machines there though, is a different story Annoyed

But yeah, i live in Sunrise (about 15 min away from said gameworks on foot) so yeah, go florida.

(Ps,class of 09 here, but the class of 09 sucks at my school, so yeah Sad )
I hate DDR, but just cant stop playing it...

Awesome! Another Floridian! I'll try to go down there over the summer. My spring break will be occupied with homework and simfile editing. What other DDR cabinets do they have in Sawgrass Mills?

Well, mostly just the Supernova 2 cab. I mean, theres an Extreme cab, and a MegaMix cab, but they are so badly damaged, it isnt even funny. I mean, you can somewhat play MegaMix, but Extreme, arg, the screen is terrible, speakers barely work, both pads are busted, and it lags so badly its agonizing.

If you do come to try them, just stick to the Supernova 2 cab, its the only playable one here. I just wish the Gameworks was more like Boomers who have a perfectly working Extreme cabinet, or could atleast maintain the ones they have.
I hate DDR, but just cant stop playing it...

Yeah, a poor one at that.
Basically take Extreme, replace the green interface with a BSOD, remove a few interface graphics here and there, maybe replace some, keep pretty much all the songs, and you have Megamix.

(lol hi)

Still, nice job, though, for having never padded it before.

UPDATE at Dolphin Mall: There are now 2 DDR SuperNOVA 2 machines! One at Dave & Busters and one in Cobb Theaters...Go to the Theaters, the pads are really good. Only flaw(s) are that the 1P button doesn't work so you have to play on the 2P side...this doesn't affect playing Doubles though. Also, this could be the manufacturers fault IDK: I went to play Doubles and put 3 tokens on 1P slot then put one more in 2P slot only to see that it showed this:

CREDITS 3/4 - CREDITS 1/4

It didn't give me the full Credit! Also, the slots are crossed! Put tokens on 1P side will give Credits on 2P side & Vice Versa. Just though you should all know!//

As long as you put all four in the same slot, it'll let you hit whichever button. At least, if it's the same as Supernova.

We should be getting SN2 up here in the panhandle relatively soon. But even sooner, we'll be getting ITG2 (upgrade).

You guys should come to the memorial day bash tournament. It's the weekend after memorial day and it's like a three day event (well, two if you don't count friday's qualifiers) with Guitar Hero 3, Brawl, and Pool tournaments as well!

There's also a SuperNova2 in Miami Lakes' Cobb Theaters located on Main Street. I just haven't bothered to get the adress or version number for Al. >_<

...nah i STRONGLY remember it was an A cuz when i saw it i was all "YES!" and marshall did his "F - U!" hand signal and we all laughed...but either way, if i had my metal mat fixed and if i had a JP PS2 with that SN2, i would have most likely AA or AAA it...most likely AA though =)

and yea class of '08 is cool and all, but next year it will be class of '09!!! XD!

Don't hate the '08. Cool

Anyway, if it was an A, it was a lower score than mine, because I clearly remember feeling relieved that you didn't break my record. And it's all water under the bridge now anyway, since I AA'd it a while ago and you most likely could too.

Florida, in my experiences, has seemed to have quite a few dance machines. Big Grin Extremes everywhere, some SuperNovas here and there. There is a glitchy ITG2 crap-o-cab with bad pads in the Oakland mall near Gainesville, that I played on before going to a Gators football game. Second worst dance game experience I've had. Annoyed

In Clearwater, there's this arcade I visited every day for 2-3 hours called "Beach Gameland", it had a SuperNova, some IIDX machine, and an ITG2 boxor, all in spectacular condition. The boxor was in better condition than any dedicab I've ever played on (3), it had SuperNova pads that held Bend Your Mind D-Challenge knee freezes perfectly.

I only went to Beach Gameland every day for one week for two summers, until my grandparents moved to Gainesville, GA. Now I can't play there anymore. Cry (no ITG anywhere near Albany, GA either...) At least ITGFreak says there's an ITG dedi in Gainesville, GA, I'll check it out in a week.

What fun my dancing experiences would be if I lived in Florida...

Also, Lord Toon, it does that on SN1 too. Putting a token in on either side adds credits to that side, but each full credit can be used by either side. I just put all my credits in the P2 side, even if I'm going to play doubles. Sucks that your P1 button is busted, sometimes I wonder just how mental someone has to be to hit the button hard enough to break it. Or how hard it is for an arcade manager to keep up with the machine... ?_?

Oh God, I LOVE Beach Gameland. That place is a place filled with happiness, joy and wonderment. I'd never played on an arcade IIDX machine before then, but it was such an awesome, borderline euphoric experience... never mind the fact that I failed the first couple songs I played on it. >_>

The SN machine was pretty good, and my worst memory there is when it gave Andrew and me Drivin' on random and we both failed (I mean, come on, Drivin'? Bleh). Beach Gameland was also where I played ITG for the first time (and failed the first song I played... yeah). That was awesome too.

In conclusion, I LOVE Beach Gameland, and I wish I could go there again... but I have no way of getting there until Andrew decides he wants to show off his IIDX skills some more. D=
