Nice, that means the machine in Singapore should be updated by the time I get there. Big Grin

I think it would be cool if Andamiro settled on a "3rdMIX, 3rdMIX PLUS, 4thMIX, 4thMIX PLUS" release pattern. It would keep the mixes fresh and prevent arcade owners from having to buy entire new kits each time there's a new version.

They used to, but the whole "Prex" thing was incredibly confusing, and resulted in such gems as "Pump It Up The Prex 3 : The 4th International Dancefloor", and a Pump machine which let you change the name of the game on the operator menu.

They can't even number their games, either The only numbered Pump game is "0", and that's the 15th game in the series!

"Give me a steady beat."
At first they called them Dance Floors underneath their proper titles. The 1st Dance Floor, the 2nd Dance Floor, the 1st International Dance Floor, etc...

If they stuck with tacking EX to the end of the mix name that would be fine with me.

They numbered them for... 3? releases, before they got silly?

EX always used to indicate that it contains both canon and non-canon Pump songs. I wonder if that means some more of the Pro songs will show up in the official engine?... Or they could just bring back Holiday. I hope they bring back Holiday!

I'd be happiest with an official Pump game every 12 -18 months, with a Pump Pro game released inbetween, that adds the newest arcade songs to the Pro engine.

Oh no, those were examples. I remember an 11th Dance Floor (And International releases of Pump It Up kept their own numbering system separate from the main). I'd have to look it up to find out exactly when that stopped.

And merging (at least partially) with the PRO series is something I'm pretty sure the video hinted at with the mention of DM Ashura and all those hexagons and rather smart CGI-looking graphics compared to Fiesta's Holy Pink! theme.

Does it actually have them? Or is it an optional add-on? I'm pretty sure I had to use the stage on the machine I played three months ago.

I've seen it with buttons, which is nice, but also completely pointless, because you still have to put in a SPECIAL CODE with your feet, in order to unlock all the songs :{

Well, that's kind of how you do it on DDR too.

I'm glad the hardware is cris-crossing between the series. Now I just want to see Pro cabinets with those sweet new TX arrow panels.

Fiesta's the only dancing game which is so badly designed, I've had to turn around to a person waiting to play behind me, and ask "Can you show me how to choose the song that you play? I want to play Canon on Crazy"

And how do I turn OFF the modifiers? So it wasn't just me! I was disappointed in the new UI... that seriously need to go away in EX.

The buttons are optional. They included support for those with Pro/2 cabinets to upgrade. The code is meant for beginner players because they assume seasoned players will use a USB (Using a USB bypasses the easy mode and goes straight to full mode). Once you've used the interface a bit, it's really easy. Back left/right do all the moving, upper arrows change your sorting.

To get into the options menu, you do Back L, Back R, Back L, Back R and go into each sub-menu. To select, hit center and it will be highlighted and on the side of the screen. To deselect, press it again and it should fade out again. For speed modifiers, 2x is default which is why it's missing from the list.

This is highly informative, thank you. My experience was the machine making me choose between 2x and 3x and not seemingly giving me an option to do otherwise. I'll try that when I go down if it's still a vanilla Fiesta. It also doesn't help that the style names changed.

According to many fans that I know of, theme is moderate, noteskin's ugly, there is a HUGE lack of NX1 songs, they don't like the interface of Quest World, lack of stepcharts in many new songs, and confusion of the stepcharts (EX: Single Lv. 11, Single Lv, 13, Double Performance Lv. 6, etc.).

Only good thing is that battle mode revived and there's new songs and missions. The weird part for people is that the new PUMBI came out recently, and they will close down the old PUMBI (used for NXA USBs).

So yeah, there's more negative comments than positive ones.

"Thanks for all your support."
@aeronperyton: the x3 speed in pump is almost identical to DDR's x2 speed mod.
Sillybear has already resigned from z-i-v... Sad

I've found a better-quality version of the Fiesta EX teaser - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLQPdsDfDUo

I was discussing with some others in this other forum site, PumpHaven, and drew some conclusions about what songs are gonna be on there.

SHINee - Ring Ding Dong
Orange Caramel - Magic Girl
Norazo - Superman
Throwdown - What Happened [From Pro 2]
Sanxion7 - Gargoyle [From Pro 2]

We don't know if those are planned to be in Fiesta EX, but we drew these conclusions by looking at the teaser and the music from it.

EDIT - This will be a whole new mix, so looks like we gotta upgrade our machines again.

So that must be why there's going to be a sort of 1.5. Seems Andamiro realized they Vista'd this release.

Tyma, seems they're still using the Dance Floor subtitle. Fiesta is 11th and Fiesta EX is 12th... So they regard this as a whole new mix.

Edit: With all that's going on I forgot to mention my second attempt at playing Fiesta. When I went to Orchard Atrium the machine was still a regular Fiesta. I managed to get the navigation down this time and finally understood the sorting system. Lot of good music and remixes of old classics but I was still bothered by the changing of the difficulty names with no obvious way to see exactly what they were. And they made a huge mistake by REMOVING classic stepcharts from classic songs! (No Freestyle for Cisko's Post? Bad end!) Also I still couldn't make the mods work for some reason, oh well. I'm in Japan now and my chances of seeing PIU without leaving the country is near zero. Sad

PS: Pump It Up Pro 2 is the God of Pump It Up right now and my only complaint is that somewhere between NX2 and Pro 2 they screwed up Energizer something fierce!

They should have some classic stepcharts for the classic songs. It's just that the readings of the charts (If playing full mode - Single Lv. 9; Double Performance Lv. 4; Double Lv. 6; etc.) that makes it confusing. Was your Fiesta machine at v.1.01? Later versions might have added/revived more stepcharts and songs.
