Has anyone ripped the mp3 of the Hottest Party 3 megamix from DDR 2010 Wii?

Yes, it was first included in Tyma's upload before al2k7 re-uploaded them.

I'll upload Love Shack in a second. It's not synced to Al's MP3, but the steps are correct.

Here are all the KOs banners I've done using the official artwork. I don't have access to the category so someone will have to put them in the right places. I'll finish the license banners later today and start on the bgs as well.

What the hell? The files in the zip are password protected?!

They're not, I think it's cos the folder in the ZIP has an additional " " at the end of the folder name, which is an illegal folder name under Windows but valid under Mac hence it doesn't extract right.

WTF? Really? I never gave it a password O.o Well anyway the banners are uploaded to their respective simfiles now. :]

EDIT: New zip uploaded if anyone wants to see the banners. I'm very disappointed with the way these were handled but oh well. I used the best of my design abilities to try and save them.

Ah, oh well.

The banners are nice, but I'm still disappointed that you changed the fonts for the artists names on so many of them :/

Oh yea sorry about that :/ It's a graphic design rule. Using the same typeface for both song and artist makes it seem like the whole thing is one big name. Most of them needed that contrast in there cause they looked sloppy. Forgive me, it's a force of habit now that I've reached senior graphic design levels. Neutral

Right, I understand that, I just like to have as much an "official" feel to it as possible, even if Konami has had it's share of crappy banners *cough*MAD BLAST*cough*

Of course with the license banners it's different since the album art more than likely isn't the same name as the song, and now we even have a few repeats thanks to songs from HP3 being from some of the same albums.

Unless if you don't set the GlobalOffsetSecond to zero, obviously they are not sync.

sillybear, do you want me to drag out the devs of StepMania to explain what global offset is? (It may be hard for me to convince some of them though, since the community here harassed an unpopular poster so outlandishly it turned them away from this site entirely...)

As I tried explaining in the X2 AC work thread, NOT everyone's global offset should be the same. It could be a "coincidence" that many people feel the steps are late, but it could also mean that you need to adjust your global offset.

double post:
On a different note, how are we going to handle PS3 vs Wii differences?

CRAZY LOVE Heavy has significantly different arrow placement (I think there's even a freeze arrow missing) between the two games towards the end of the song.

Update:

- Love Shack sm file added; all charts (Tyma)

@Tyma: no wonder you can tell us that this song may not sync properly using either any kind of mp3, as this is another example of a song produced by live studio recording. Somehow, i managed to sync at least near in sync by breaking into different bpm changes (as usual).

EDIT: Love Shack song is really addictive. Hope it will include in the license song roster in the next new DDR Arcade installment.

As I tried explaining in the X2 AC work thread, NOT everyone's global offset should be the same.
QFMFT, [rant]the GlobalOffset should be different for EVERYBODY. If ALL stepmania players set their machine to the StepMania Standardized simfile, ALL GlobalOffsets would be anything but zero, and ALL stepfiles would be synched, but if you don't sync your machine properly then there is no reference point.

You can think of it as measuring the length of your arm. People could all have many different values for their arm length depending on where they began taking the measurement and if their arm is bent, so someone with a shorter arm could measure longer than someone with a longer arm depending on where they began taking the measurement. ONLY if there was a standard that said to measure with your arms both perpendicular to your body straight to the sides and measure from one fingertip to the other fingertip and divide by two, would you be able to compare this value with others with some meaning because there is a standard way to measure. Without a STANDARD everyone is doing their own thing, and without setting your GlobalOffset through the StepMania machine sync standard, there should be no discussion about simfiles being late/early since that is due to the lack of implementation of the standard, ESPECIALLY if you are ignorant enough to state that setting this value to ZERO is the standard, in reality everyone needs to change their GlobalOffset so that the standard StepMania machine sync song is perfectly on-beat without adjusting the file's OFFSET or GAP.

All of the simfiles I have submitted have been synched according to the StepMania machine sync standard, so if you ever downloaded any of my files and noticed they were late/early, the problem is on your end. AND the biggest gripe I have is that the great majority of the simfiles on this site are NOT synched according to the StepMania machine sync standard simfile, therefore there is no basis of the current synching other than the usual (sync them to themselves) which doesn't make sense since the timing on many files varies.[/rant]

Actually that's a good point. The GlobalOffset to play files on an ITG2AC R16 machine is different than the StepMania standard, the problem with ITG Rebirth was purely a GlobalOffset error, I didn't have a machine to test the files on and nobody else on the team pointed out the 12ms GlobalOffset error that caused the problems for ALL ITG Rebirth files. Otherwise my synching was sound, but your only going off-topic for no reason whatsoever. I still have all the sync I created for Rebirth and the .ogg's, if you really want to test me, even the dates when the synching was completed.

This and Rock Lobster, UM3 had a pretty good chart for it.

Hm, why are there no entries for Downtown and Take Me?

obviously double post combining is a dumb idea Tongue hence, reposting:
