Rayquaza and Deoxys were insanely easy to catch. I used Capture Power 1 before battling Rayquaza and caught it on my first Quick Ball. Same for Deoxys.

Finally beat Alpha Sapphire this morning.
Team:
Swampert lv 59
Altaria lv 57 <- mega
Minun lv 57
Lunatone lv 56
Sableye lv 56
Seviper lv 56
Thoughts in spoilers.
I had trouble on Steven. Freaking Cradily. I had to sit there with Altaria (who was KOed by a sludge bomb from said Cradily lol) and wait for it to lose all of its PP and boost using dragon dance. It was torture.
Delta Episode was freaking great, it was probably better than most of the normal game IMO. Zinnia was a really cool character, and the backstory of Mega Evolution and the likes were a very nice touch.
Lots of references to potential Emerald remake it seems: lots of characters from Emerald are mentioned, and renovations are apparently supposed to happen. Idk if they will remake it but please include lots of Zinnia if they do.
The postgame is already 10x better than X/Y, mirage spots and the special Lati@s flying areas are really neat.
Overall a good remake despite removing some good stuff (berry blender minigame? normal safari zone?)

patch update #2 is up
Quote: Serebii.net
For those of you with Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, a new patch has been made available on the Nintendo 3DS eShop globally. This patch is the one announced last week that was said to fix a glitch that causes the game to potentially freeze when entering the hall of fame. It is required to go online. The patch requires 271 blocks to download. You can access it by scanning these QR codes in your Nintendo 3DS Camera, or through the Nintendo eShop directly.

Finally beat the Pokemon League with this team:
Lv. 53 Gardevoir
Lv. 63 Sceptile
Lv. 55 Skarmory
Lv. 57 Hariyama
Lv. 62 Pelipper
Lv. 57 Graveler
Boy, do I wish I had used a Fire-type Pokemon. Would've made the Elite Four a lot easier (freakin' Froslass...) and probably would have made Steven's Metagross a lot easier too. But I finally did it, with a lot of Revives.
Other thoughts:
Soaring above Hoenn on Latios is pretty flippin' awesome, I gotta say. And I really love how trainers will re-fight you with the AreaNav showing you where they are ready to fight. It also makes berry harvesting a whole lot easier. Overall, ORAS is a ton better than I was expecting. Now on to the postgame!

All of that DexNav UI content is absolutely amazing and convenient. The notifications are great, and I appreciated that they brought back Trainer's Eyes in that way.
How troublesome was it against the Elite Four with that level range? (Is it still spoilers right now? I have no clue, but I'll spoiler this.)Was it generally easy to cream except for Froslass and Metagross? I'm just curious since I'm highly considering visiting the Elite Four while underleveled and relying on type advantages or bad attempts at sweeping to try and make it more difficult and fun for myself.

You don't really need a Fire-type Pokemon, just a Pokemon that can use/learn strong Fire-type Attacks, like Blast Burn or Eruption or V-Create (but I think that is the only move that Victini knows).
I'm only in Rustborogh right now. I still want to get the guidebook, so I'm kinda slow playing with using the original Ruby/Sapphire guide.
I must say it was a very nice throwback when I saw Professor Birch in his GBA glory giving the "Welcome to the world of Pokemon" speech. For a moment I was expecting him to break the 4th wall.
Just found out that I have a good wild caught Poochyena as it knows Fire Fang (an Egg Move).

I actually lost against Drake the first time I tried. If you have strong type advantages you might be OK, my Gardevoir practically swept the Dark and Dragon parts once I got the Gardevoirite and Dazzling Gleam, even being slightly underleveled.
Also doing wonder trading when this happened. What the actual crap.

I'm using base evolution pokemon with no items. My pokemon were in the 60's range and made two attempts at the elite four before level grinding some more.

Beat the Elite Four + Champion just now. Just need to do the mega rayquaza/deoxys event and try to catch whatever legendaries I can.
Omega Ruby is probably my favorite Pokemon game since the original Gold, which is saying a lot.
