I'm pretty sure that you have to run it with a certain program. With what program, I'll try and find tomorrow unless someone tells me and I see it before I go to school tomorrow. G'night people.

For what, games? You'll need a PS2 emulator. Easy enough to find, but you'll need a BIOS dump as well; providing those is illegal so you're on your own for that. Be warned that PS2 games run very poorly on most computers, and I believe almost all rhythm games are virtually unplayable. The ISOs work best when written to a DVD then played in a PS2 (that can play burned media...).

yes, but, you need a DVD-R, to burn with Alcohol 120% or Nero, or something to write CD/DVD...

All right, time to teach. An ISO is an image of a disc. It is essentially the entire contents of the disc in a transferable file format. For example, if you pop in DDR X into the computer, and wish to rip it to make a copy, you would be making an ISO (or equivalent) file representing the entire disc.
So, if you have an ISO, you burn it to the proper media (usually a DVD) and it can be played on whatever device it was intended for. Note that adding an ISO to a DVD is not equivalent; you need to burn the image to the disc. A free, lightweight program to do this is ImgBurn.
There are also programs to "mount" ISOs locally on the computer, most commonly used being Daemon Tools, which allows your computer to pretend it has the disc burned and in the optical drive. For example, if you buy The Dark Knight on DVD and rip it as an ISO, you can mount the ISO on Daemon Tools and then the computer will act as if the disc is inserted into the optical drive, even though it's not.
Though, like I said, this doesn't work well for PS2 games; the emulators are not perfect and most computers are not up to the task of making them playable.
Of course, a PS2 will not read burned discs right out of the box; it needs some modifications. There's a number of things you can do, I'll leave that discussion for another day.
Tried to keep the explanation simple for easy understanding...
Note that I'm not condoning piracy of anything, just explaining how these files work and their purpose...
For backup and import purposes, of course.
I'm done thread derailing, sorry~

XD I didn't know us Deep Strikers were liked on the web. About IIDX RED. I have to purchase another version of it. The one I have has been in mine since 2007 and is scratched to hell. I am actually uploading pop'n music 12 & 13 and packing pop'n music 15 ADVENTURE's OST, IIDX RED OST, and the Legendary RED TRAXX (which I am debating if I want to actually upload.).IIDX RED needs to be uploaded soon though.
