Neat-O!! I'll be sticking with the 10th style theme!
I have a suggestion:
As a member, if you own a simfile category, it will appear at the left of the home page.
What should appear if you are guest? Simple answer: a little note asking "New to the site?" and having it link to the Site introduction thread.
I think it's a good idea.

Glad you like the idea!
You should also update the Site Introduction thread to include a link to the FAQ page.

There's your problem: IE
Look at the bottom of the site: optimized for Firefox

It works fine under Firefox

I have a suggestion for the Site agent. Rather than having an e-mail sent to the user when there is a new reply, why not send a PM rather than an e-mail? I think it would would be more handy as the user wouldn't have to go to their e-mail to check if there are new replies.
Could do that, but on busy threads, the user would be flooded with PMs that way. I used to do that on another forum and I got tired of hundreds of notices flooding my inbox every day.
Maybe three a day listing recent posts in each subscribed thread?

Sorry I've been rather busy with schoolwork. I haven't really got a good chance to look at -5th style- II, and I'm not sure where else to put site suggestions. These suggestions might be a little too difficult to implement for -5th style- II, but I would like you to at least make a note for -6th style- (I will remove this post and move the content elsewhere if requested to do so):
A lot of users don't seem to be clear on the proper use of the [youtube] tag. They are often mistakenly putting in the full URL of the video or HTML code. (I've already explained a few times the technical reasons this doesn't presently stop the videos from working but I am able to find out anyway - I won't bother repeating myself here.)
I suggest that if the input to the [youtube] tag is not exactly 11 characters long, which is the proper length of the identification code at the end of the URL (example: oHg5SJYRHA0), then the tag should output an error message instead of trying to embed the video.
Has a system of reputations decaying with user inactivity already been implemented? That's what seems to be happening to my rating. If so, could the next version of the site display data somewhere on how exactly the user's rating is being affected by inactivity, along with the existing data on raw rating and reputation power?
There is an option to bump a thread when one is editing a post; for symmetry, could we have an option to not bump a thread when posting a reply? (Compare age and sage on 2channel. Or is there never a situation where this is useful?)
Finally, might we be able to have user-adjustable forum page length?
---EDIT: I know this won't get read, but just in case it does: I stand corrected with regard to my second and third suggestions above. Regarding the second, what I was seeing was probably a gain in the reputation of a user who gave me a negative rating. Regarding the third, I don't use 2ch or its ...*cough* closest English-language equivalent, so I failed to understand that age/sage has nothing to do with editing posts, and hence my "symmetry" argument was wrong.

Hey Al, how about making song lyrics category ?
Just like the one Bemanistyle have !
just sort it by alphabet, for easy search
also we can request any song lyrics we need....
and of course any member can write their translation of the lyrics...

I might implement some form of error checking once I figure out how the pattern matching works for BBCode.I suggest that if the input to the [youtube] tag is not exactly 11 characters long, which is the proper length of the identification code at the end of the URL (example: oHg5SJYRHA0), then the tag should output an error message instead of trying to embed the video.

Inactivity has no impact on your rating. Ratings purely come from user ratings.Quote: eighty5cacao

The current code cannot support this because of the way the database was constructed, and I don't see a situation where you don't want a thread to be bumped when a user makes a new reply?Quote: eighty5cacao

Yes, when I get round to it.And by the way, for people that are fed up with user signatures, they can disable them in User Options for v5.2.

Thank you. Option set. Now if only the same could be done for posts by certain people.Oh, yeah, something I tried to ask for a few months back. Could you repeat this line of links at the bottom of the page too?

About the drop-down menus at the top of the screen, could you have a 1s delay (or so) before they disappear?
Going into the simfiles section with a crap mouse is frustrating
Ahh I miss the 4th style days ;)

Delays are only possible with JavaScript which I'm trying to avoid using for compatibility for other browsers. I'll probably add links for when you click DDR/DS, IIDX, pop'n and the others.

Also, Al, you messed up a bit on the bottom links.

Not being funny or anything but do you need to restate the fact you don't like Firefox all the time? It's getting old now.
