I didn't even post something in the last 3 weeks and today I got a downvote, my score dropped from 13.4 to 10.4. Is this some hate or it's something else?

Either someone who rated you up recently went inactive or someone who rated you up was rated down, making their vote worth less points as a result.

DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED OF THE VETERAN MEMBERS RATINGS!!!
I made a huge mistake last year because I felt in the lower class of society on the forums.
Ratings DON'T count! Believe me it's very intimidating but you're going to get there some day just read the guidelines of this post. If you make the mistake like what I did last year. Then, you will never be welcomed by the community here. If you really need help. You can PM me or the veteren members for tips. JUST DON'T MAKE THAT MISTAKE LIKE I DID.

User ratings for this website are about as useful as your XBox Gamerscore. Sure, a high score might make you feel good about your achievements and all, but at the end of the day, those points/ratings are absolutely useless and bare no real meaning. Heck, the only good thing that happens is when you get 50 points and you can start hosting your simfiles on the website, but you can just as easily host your files elsewhere and post links here.

Just don't be a jerk or annoying on the forums (or post useless spam), and you will be fine.

To be honest, I'm in this forum because I wanted a score counter for my DDR plays, the last 3 months, I started running and making exercise and as a final workout, I dance in the DDR. I don't know what happened, maybe stamina, I started making PFC's, right now, I have 24 PFC's. Also, here I know the events about DDR, Beatmania, Pop'n etc. About the simfiles, yeah they are great and all but I play keyboard stepfiles and I'm a horrible step artist.

I haven't been on for like 2 Months and my rating has gone up by 2 Points

Irrespective of if they matter or not, I feel it is kinda silly that if user A rates user B's post, and then at some point becomes inactive, that user B loses those pts is kinda silly. I mean, that user A became inactive does not affect, IMO, that at that point in time prior they thought your post was worth the point boost...

It's nice to be here, but I'm mostly a lurker that doesn't really know what to post, so most of the stuff I post is just kinda useless things people already know. I don't really chat much, either, mostly because I get nervous that I'd piss off anyone with more than 100 points here. I assume this is why my rating was dropping by .1 every day about a month ago, and I'm now at 6.9, right?

Actually, ratings change very subtly all of the time, due to a rater's rating power increasing if they are +voted or decreasing if they are -voted.

Not like people can use those points to do anything to you anyway. As long as you don't piss off an admin or use derogatory hate speech, you should be okay.


You made numerous mistakes, including but not limited to talking to yourself through multiple accounts and posting YouTube videos about your "top ten most annoying ZIv members".
