Honestly, IMO most of the music in ITG is rather dull. The only songs I like are Sunshine (AKA Follow The Sun), Bouff, Hybrid, Summer (Speedy Mix), and Energizer. This despite parts of Energizer sounding a lot like MAX 300.

Disconnected is love.

Also, at the time of viewing, Pandemonium X's rating is 133.7

Congrats on the closest to 1337 you'll get.

Yeah, what you're not getting is that the ITG ones are what the DDR ones wish they were.
And you mispelled Monolith.

Sorry, but the DDR counterparts are light-years ahead of the ITG sound-alikes. At least to me anyway.

I only like about 10% of the ITG and ITG2 songs that they have.

I've noticed a lot of Inspector K haters on this site. It's not treble, but it's not the great ether.
WTF, I love Inspector K. Clockwork Genesis and Infection are two of my favorite ITG songs. Surprised

You gotta be kidding. Especially for Chaos vs. Stop and Go. Chaos is just random stops thrown in, with 6 steps actually on 4ths, the rest off by some amount to artificially increase the chaos. S&G, it's actually lined up so that the steps are on correctly, so that you can actually judge by the color of the steps. Plus, S&G actually follows the foreground of the song, where Chaos follows that faint background ticking.

I think the ITG ones are better stepchart wise. Monolith is more crossoverable than HVAM, while still having tons of crossovers.

Disconnected and Paranoia are about equal, which is to say I don't really like any remix of either.

Energize is pretty close to Max 300, I'll give you that much. The break to a completely different song in the middle is cool though.

Actually, I kinda like DtN's chart. It surely does follow the rhythm, even with th 24's.

Pandemonium Challenge is actually pretty good. In fact, there are virtually no crossovers.

And Kyzentun, I seriously have no idea why you found S&G to be better than CHAOS in anyway shape or form.

CHAOS's stops make sense. The only "ticking" is at the end and that isn't what tells you when the song will start up again.

And again, the sim on Z-i-V's website is synced up right but is missing two stops which gives it the orange note syndrome. CHAOS is mostly 16th notes with 8ths and 4ths sprinkled in. When it hits the stops where the arrows are crunched together, THEN it becomes fully 32nd notes. I highly doubt that they would change the arcade version of CHAOS when they put it on the PS2.

S&G sounds horrible to me. In fact, it doesn't even compare to CHAOS. It only has 20 stops and isn't exactly techno.

DTN's chart is good. The song itself makes my ears bleed though.

BYM is good, the whole point of that song is to hands, and they're done well. The freeze stream at the end is completely crossoverable without spinning, you just need to be willing to dance backwards for a bit.
What's wrong with Tough Enough :char:? I don't remember anything bad in it.
Pandy Challenge only has two crossovers, and unlike all the Konami 10s, it doesn't have its bpm doubled, listen to the bass thumping.
V^2 Challenge isn't too bad either, except somebody got bored and took a dump all over it, leaving tons of mines. And the random bass thumps before the ending are deliberately made to be hard to combo, as is the entire ending.
DtN is just a nightmare no matter how you look at it. The odd rhythm throws me even when I do it with a cmod.

FD: I dislike the gimmicky offsetting they did in Chaos because it turns Note into Flat. Plus it means that you cannot make an edit for it on the PS2, because you can't place steps on the actual music. It's like Konami ran out of actual ideas, and just stuck stops into the song and offset it from the measures to make it take many tries to learn, thus ensuring practically nobody finishes EES, and impossible to edit. I'm really against songs with that kind of crap designed to make it near impossible to play well if you haven't done it 24987695t62 times before.

Sure, there's some crap charts in ITG, but less by proportion. When I crossover for a while in ITG, I know that I don't have to worry about there being a spot later on in the stream where I'll have to double step because the step maker forgot about the way the player is facing. In DDR, I'll double step the crossovers more unless I know the song well, because I can't trust them to cross me back.

I disagree with you about the offsetting until the double stops. Note turns into Flat at that point andit's uneditable in the PS2 version. But we have Stepmania so that situation is somewhat remedied.

Besides, be happy that the stops actually follow the beat, not like that pile of **** known as Numa Numa song on ITG3.

Don't say that all of the Konami 10's have to have their bass doubled. The Fascination twins have dynamic bpms and you can hear it in the background. HDV's 360 section, although unnecessary, has enough background thumping to rationalize it.

The only thing that I thought was deliberately doubled was PARANOiA Respect, Pluto Relinquish (that was doubled, quadrupled and whatever 8x's is in english), MAX 300 and PARANOiA Survivor (that was remedied in my edit, hope you picked it up Tongue).

Of course, I'm too used to them being what the are right now so correct me if I'm wrong.

I haven't played the Numa Numa song on ITG3. I don't really care that the stops follow the beat, they still bug me because they're a cheap gimmick to make people play a song many times that isn't really musically good enough to play that many times.

Okay, so not all have the bpm doubled, but it's far more common than in ITG, because Konami doesn't normally use 16th streams. I don't mind it though, because I've worked up to reading 450 anyway.
When you're trying to say that Konami 10's follow the song (which they mostly do), don't bring up FAXX, because the whole opener for that has no basis for the 8ths. And the gallops? Yeah, I don't hear anything doing gallops either. FELM has the same issues. Not to mention the fact that I don't like playing with the "Wide" modifier on, which is also a problem on ITG.

Yeah, I picked up your rearrangement. I won't call it an edit, because it's not. Interesting idea, but I think it shows up a flaw in the system for measuring "chaos", as the rhythm of your feet is pretty constant. I would have preferred an actual edit that brought something new to PS, instead of what you decided to do.

I saw the t in there after I hit the random numbers, but decided to leave it in to make it clear I was just hitting random numbers.

Oh, and Energizer will always have a place in my heart because I got my first toasty while playing it at half speed. On foot.

Technically, it's an edit. I "stole" Silentype's idea of mirroring PSMO's chart so it does introduce something new. Tongue

I remember my first toasty...

...it destroyed my attempt at a AAA. Annoyed

I can understand FAXX being crappy but I WILL defend FELM Heavy. Play the basic chart and you can see where they got the idea for gallops. The 16th's in the beginning mildly follow the telephone. The 16th staircase follows that sound during the stops. The freezes go to the busy signal. The weird step thing at the last 200 section is during the laugh before the chart tries to finish you off. The 8th's are fine.

I remember my first toasty. I was playing Brilliant2U (Club Ver.), and I thought she was saying "twoftee", which is two-fifty with the syllables crunched together. I thought this because I had just reached a 250 combo, but I didn't know that's how it actually works.
