Some arcades outside of Asia run cabinets on private servers with game versions that would turn heads from certain big companies.
The information on this site is left intentionally vague or out of date to avoid attracting attention from the lawyers of said companies.
When a user with good intentions updates the information on the site, it is a serious risk and puts a target on the operator's back.

"You can play CABINET DX (version SPECIAL PLUS 1.45X) at ARCADE located at FULL ADDRESS which is operated by ARCADE OPERATORS and is using the illegal piracy hacking network NETWORK (operated by NETWORK OPERATOR)."

There are a few ways to avoid this. I don't use this site's forums actively so I don't know what is implemented already or what is feasible:
- Mark certain arcades as requiring peer review
- Automatically flag the action of updating certain cabs in specific countries
- Allow users to subscribe for notifications whenever an arcade is updated (probably the simplest one)
- Disable editing certain locations, allowing specific users to update. (Not ideal for some places but I would trust my local arcade with it)

"ZIV database editor"
What we usually do is report the users writing things they aren't supposed to and usually they get warned.

I support a peer review system, but for different reasons. For me, it's more of a matter of ensuring that new accounts contribute positively to the site, while existing accounts continue to do so.
