Every time I already have a panel on my foot and I place another foot on the down arrow panel, the sensor for the down arrow doesn't respond, which definitely ruins the gameplay experience for me. Is the pad defective, badly manufactured, or can it be resolved? I own a Logic3 dance pad *(three of them actually) because that's the only thing I'd be able to afford.

Try to change the Axis Fix in SM5/OutFox game options' input settings to On.
