I'm trying to use a male-to-male 3.5mm audio cable to connect the headphone jack of a SDVX cab to my laptop, so I can record clean audio from the game, but when I tried that, the machine gave an error:

音声を出力することができません ヘッドフォン端子で異常が発生しました
"I can't output the audio. An abnormality has occurred with the headphone terminal"
I'm being told that this is apparently an anti-piracy measure. Is there any way around this? I'm trying to get clear game audio for OBS.
EDIT: Apparently all it takes is a 3.5mm splitter, plugging that into the headphone jack on the cab, then plugging headphones into one end of the splitter and the male-to-male into the other end of the splitter.
