O.O...
I forgot there was an intro thread here...
Well sorry for the 3.7 week BUMP, but i feel that people need to see that there IS an Intro thread here, plus i never made my intro soooo...
Hey! My name is Julian, my b-day is on August 26th, 1991, and around here (and BMS and DDROC) i am known as maxninja114 or (more recently) maxninja09. My DDR tag is maxninja, and most of my screen names revolve around that name. My name comes from two things that i love: 1) the MAX series and 2) ninjas...
...however sometime in the future i might change my s/n to something else, but as of right now it will be maxninja =D
I started playing DDR when i was around 9 years old, back then one of our arcades here in Tampa had a DDR USA machine, the first song i chose was either Bumblebee or Mr. Wonderful...i got a C on Basic (lol) and since then i have loved DDR for it's "uniqueness", but the one thing that made me stick to DDR more was it's weight loss benefits. During one summer, i NEEDED to lose alot of weight and with the help of DDR i went from 175lbs to 156lbs in over two months (and i was 15 at the time). I am at Expert level as of right now, i can do basically any song on Expert and either get an A, AA, or AAA. I still have a hard time trying to do certain BOSS songs on Expert, but someday i will beat them
Someday, i pray that Florida (especially Tampa) will recieve IIDX machines with open arms...or just accept it into the arcades. I REALLY want to try IIDX, but unfortunately, most arcades here don't have it (there was ONE Beatmania machine here...but they threw it out *sad face*)
Other than that, i also like fighting games, FPS, Guitar Hero, Rock Band, and other stuff...
Peace =)

Hey Everybody!
Sorry that this came in so late. I did not know that there was an introduction thread. I'm Stephen, a senior in IB (If you don't know, it's like AP on steroids) in Colorado Springs, CO
I started playing DDR in 9th grade (ok the summer between 9th and 10th) when a friend in my choir introduced Mario Mix. My mom ended up getting me one for a gift ( just one of those random ones).
Anyway... I DDR at the arcade sometimes, but I have a fear of failing songs that I can normally pass @ home (Max 300 SMMM), but with me doing tons of homework, I found DDR as a way to relax!
Currently, I am working on making course files for DDR (SN, SN2 and X* *If I can get the list*, If you want more info or want the courses, just PM me!
Jaa Mata (See You Later)

Meh, new here. Decided to register at the whim. I'm actually not into a lot of stuff that's focused on this site, but whatcha gonna do?
Anyway, I'm Amy, from England. Started playing DDR.... a coupla years ago, dun really remember. Started when my brother started, really. Never got into it, so I'm not that great but I can proudly say I'm better than the standard chavettes. I've taken an affinity to Taiko No Tatsujin because it's simple and cute. Pop'N can just go to hell. It's too cute, complicated and it's just NOT cool >A<. Also like a bit of Guitarfreaks even though I fail at it.
Back when I was 16 (now 19) I got too into SMO. And I know that because I was too effing good for keyboard o_O. I quit soon after, and now I'm just my regular sucky self, so it's all good >3.
Last but not least, I'm the sister of Alan, which isn't much. I'm just gonna be amused when I see his reaction after reading this, hah.

Hi, Amy! Fortunately, I'm not getting my brother to sign up. He's a bit of a failcake. And I can't believe I didn't do an introduction. I'm so rude...I'll do one later.

I'll believe it when Al confirms it. Or one of the other admins, since they would know too.Post #92 · Posted at 2008-11-04 12:53:16am 15.8 years ago

Eh.
I find it convincing. Or it could just be along the same lines as silenttype's idea in the YLYL thread.
It doesn't really matter like she said anyway. If Al does confirm it, we'll be like "OMG CELEBRITY" for a bit.

Started playing DDR in middle school with my first game being konamix. Quickly got good and was the first to pass max 300 (just out of all my friends) when ddr max came out. I've played for years but kind of got out of it when i was introduced to beatmania iidx at an anime convention. I've passed every ddr song except that groove radar bullshit and i passed every song in itg/itg2. Passed every iidx song except fake time [a] and nageki [a]. Looking to get into Pop'N one of these days.

Sorry. I'm having an off-week... or an off-month, starting from 2 weeks before Friday. It was something else.
Anyway, here's a pity intro about me.
[intro]
I <3 FELM.
[/intro]
Other than that, I got into DDR much later than the fanbase in Philadelphia which meant that I couldn't reap the benefits of the Bemani Forest. It's a Bemani desert since 4 years ago from the close of damn near all of the arcades in the area so I have to make due with what I have.
What arcades are left in Philly as far as I know? 2 DnBs. One of them has a PIU (then again, so does my college >_>), the other I'll have to check out soon. I have very, very little hopes for a DDR machine there though.
Went DDR in 2000, stopped. DDRMAX in 2004, stopped. DDR SN in 2007, researched the songlist, found FELM and haven't stopped DDR'ing since. Right now, I'm trying to hone my skills and stamina to the point where I can pass FELM . Just pass, not AAA. So far, I can get to the random gallops and fall flat on my face.
I have knack for analyzing stuff that don't need explanation (wish I could do that with my college essays ). I'm trying to rationalize FELM . So far... I got nothing. I can say "that's fine" to everything before the 16th stream. After that, it goes straight downhill. The first two step-jump stream clusters follow a step-jump beat from the songs piano hit and synth...thingy. The rest make no sense.
FAXX has a perfect chart in my opinion due to the "No beat" effect but you don't want to hear about that.

Welcome FELMDemon!
Here's my very late intro.
My name is Derek, I live in Phoenix, Arizona. Right now I live on campus at Arizona State University. I haven't technically declared a major yet, but it looks a lot like it's going to be English. I started playing DDR about two and a half years ago and I've been obsessed with it since. Well, not so much "obsessed" with it anymore, but it's still awesome. As of now, I can AA stuff up to around an 8 or 9 footer, pass stuff in DDR up to about as hard as FAXX, and I've even passed Determinator on ITG recently. That being said, I'm not a competitive player at all and mostly just play for fun.
I was a member at bemanistyle for a while and I have a few posts over there, but later I switched over to Zenius-I-Vanisher because it's better in everyway. I've been a member for a year now but I look foward to my stay at Zenius .

Extremely belated intro (since they seem to be the fad these days)
My name's Adam, and I live near Pittsburgh, PA. I'm still in high school, but somehow I manage to have time to check this website about 10,000,000 times a day. I really have little weird "phases."
THE DDR PHASE: Played it at a cousin's house in 5th grade. It was love at first sight. Got DDR EXTREME PS2 on my 6th Grade Christmas. Played that for a while, got MAX, then MAX2, then EXTREME2 (still my favorite mix of all time). Got SuperNOVA in 8th grade and then discovered some kids on my block that also fell in love with the game. We had mad DDR parties almost every day in middle school. Things quieted down for a bit when I moved to high shcool, although SuperNOVA2 (which was a dissapointment) and DDRX (which was f***ing awesome) came along. I can clear most 9's and easy tens. Although my proudest accomplishment is a C on Horatio! FTW!
THE IIDX PHASE: Found beatmania US in March of my 7th grade year. Haven't stopped playing it since. Two years later with a SwapMagic and a copy of 9th and 10th, I'm officially hooked. IIDX was an interesting jump for me, because it was so unique. EDIT: GOTTEN BETTER, thank the lord.
THE POP'N PHASE: Bought a copy of pop'n music 13 and a minicon and that was it. Pop'n somehow surpassed IIDX in a way, and I couldn't help but love all of the awesome tunes that were put on it! My limit on pop'n is around 26, but it depends on the song. Stuff like Hard Pf seems easy but Forest Snow is so awkward to play. I dunno. Pop'n is still one of my favorite games ever!

(Also, IMO, Z-I-V > BMS)

(A bit late, considering I've been here for 2 years, but whatever.)
I'm Alex, or Oni-91. I'm from Derby, UK (bit in the middle, where nothing really happens, though is still more populated than Newcastle, oddly). Currently in Sixth Form (think college, but with suits) in the final year of studying Futher Maths and Computing. I started playing Bemani in 2000, with beatmania European Edit, and got DS Euromix for the PS1 by the end of the year (though I may have played the original DS earlier when out bowling or something). The arcade scene in Derby is non-existant. I only know one other person at a decent level, and there are only two arcade machines, both Fusions (one with crap pads, one apparently with decent ones, but I cba to go and check). So, I have to make do mainly with CS versions. I have all European ones, except for Unleashed, Mario Mix, Disney Mix and SuperNOVA 2. However, I have played on an AC SN2 before in the US, as well as PIU.
I can clear most old-scale 10s on CS (up to FAXX , not dared to try yet), and up to around LoM on AC, but I'm usually content with just playing a bunch of 7s-9s. I want to get into PIU back at home, but my nearest one (a PIU Pro) is roughly 20 miles away, and I'm not travelling that far for one arcade machine. At least not until I get a car. I'm getting Rock Band this Christmas, too. I've only played twice before, but I cleared Expert songs on drums with around 90% then (I have an actual drumkit, which I'm a good player at). You won't catch me singing.
You can find me on many Bemani sites like DDR:UK, BMS, here and DDREvolved, but I tend to post here more often. Maybe it's the awesome combination of UNIVERSE2 (Dark) and Dark BG.
I also like the font Conduit, Super Eurobeat and French gameshow Fort Boyard.
