DanceDanceRevolution SuperNOVA2 PRIZE Module

Good evening, fellow BEMANI fans.

After doing some research on the PRIZE Module from the Japanese console port of SuperNOVA2, I found that not only does it unlock a CHALLENGE chart for Freeway Shuffle, but it also unlocks a CHALLENGE chart for Raspberry♥Heart (English version) and SUNKiSS♥DROP. Now, all I need is some clarification. Do you simply buy the module in order to unlock said charts, or are there more requirements than just that?

I don't recall this? I remember when SN2 came out we only had the charts, and it took until X for us to see the charts for the first time?

Yeah, the PRIZE Module was only available on the Japanese console port. It was nowhere to be found in the North American console port, even after I beat all missions in Hyper Master Mode. I was referring to the Japanese versions; the North American CS port for SN2 didn't even have Sunkiss Drop (that got pushed to X instead).

Yes, you buy the prize module after getting all full gold missions. Though the way I see it, you can only ever play the three charts in Hyper Master Mode.

By "getting all full gold on missions," do you mean I have to 100% Hyper Master Mode, or can I still unlock and buy the PRIZE Module after reaching the gold area at some point for all the missions? Also, you can only play the three hidden CHALLENGE charts in Hyper Master Mode? That seems dumb.

Yes, full gold. Not just by reaching the gold. If it seems impossible for you, and probably will, just get the Japanese version of DDR X and use the "user support" menu in options. You can then buy the prize module in the shop in DDR SN2.

Yeah, from what I've tried, you can only play the charts in Hyper Master Mode. Unless someone has figured it out outside of edit mode, that's how I see it.

Oh and forgot to tell you but maybe you know this already. Equip the prize module then play any of the 3 songs in Hyper Master Mode. You will play the chart there.

So I just completed Hyper Master Mode at 100% for the North American home release of DanceDanceRevolution SuperNOVA2. Of course, this means that I unlocked the PRIZE Module. However, when I played Freeway Shuffle and Raspberry♥Heart (English version) with the Module equipped, nothing happened.

Since the CHALLENGE charts aren't revealed in Hyper Master Mode, does the PRIZE Module reveal another surprise for the North American home release of SuperNOVA2 I don't know about?

I thought Raspberry♥Heart had a expert and challenge on SN2 CS US?

Unless I can get an explanation as to why I didn't get the CHALLENGE chart for Freeway Shuffle and Raspberry♥Heart (English version) in Hyper Master Mode even with the PRIZE Module equipped, the CHALLENGE charts seem to be in the Japanese home release only.

It turns out you have to put the Expert module in the hurt slot.

Give it a go and then let us know if it works.
