I still find it amazing how Europe had to wait 9 months for SuperNOVA2 to arrive, when it ended up being the same as the US version...and Cara Mia being the ONLY new addition.

Remember the Dance Dance Revolution GB games for Game Boy Color? Well, it turns out that about 92.6% of the 8-bit versions used in DDR GB actually aren't the correct tempo of the versions used everywhere else. For example, the 8-bit AFRONOVA from GB2 runs at 204 BPM instead of 200. Another example is that HYPNOTIC CRISIS has a tempo of 138 BPM in GB3 instead of the usual 135. (The GB3 version of HYPNOTIC CRISIS also sounds a lot cooler, IMO.)
Another interesting fact regarding this is that PARANOiA retains a constant 175.37 BPM in GB 1. Normally, it constantly changes, with the changes ranging from 169.81 to 183.67.
However, 4 songs were lucky & kept their actual tempo: BAD GIRLS. DAM DARIRAM, MR. WONDERFUL, & TURN ME ON (HEAVENLY MIX). (Except the last one didn't have its subtitle in GB 2.)
EDIT:
Right on Time's banner in Ultramix 3 credits DJ NAGUREO along with Robbie Danzie. Ironically enough, Reo Nagumo had no involvement with Right on Time...or any song originally from the Guitar Freaks and Drum Mania franchises, for that matter.

Well there was also the addition of the character select screen which the US CS didn't have. Perhaps this may suggest that the EU version was built off the JP CS version. Just pure speculation though. Some songs were also shuffled around on that version too which made it resemble the categorization seen in the JP CS and arcade. If I can recall, the song 'dream of love' appeared in the yellow "license" category in the US CS version where everywhere else it appeared in the green "Konami originals" category. Correct me if I'm wrong on that one.
Anyhow, none of this justifies the long gap between releases though.

It's weird....I just checked the database on here and it says that "dream of love" is a Konami Original in the US CS version, but I also remember it being a license in that version....ah, oh well. But yeah, the other information you listed I was not aware of.

dream of love was never a license, it was just laziness on Konami's end since it was a default song.

In DDR X2 US AC if you high light the DIFFICULTY setting under the options (Course mode) the description will just say... "DUMMY"

I found this interesting, but I'm also mentioning this as a question because I don't know if this is actually true...apparently U1-ASAMi is responsible for the entirety of DDR Mario Mix's soundtrack?

I think from reading the games manual I'm lead to believe so. Unless there's something out there that could prove otherwise, but I highly doubt.

The guy playing the guitar in the background of the cover art of Spanish Snowy Dance is the song's artist Mutsuhiko Izumi.
