@Tyma: no wonder you can tell us that this song may not sync properly using either any kind of mp3, as this is another example of a song produced by live studio recording. Somehow, i managed to sync at least near in sync by breaking into different bpm changes (as usual).
It's not that - I'm bad at DDR, and I can't tell when something is on sync or off-sync, even by a bar or so.
I'm happy to step the licenses, and have some else sync them entirely! I'll finish off Animal, Bad Romance and Battlefield later on, since they're already synced to the Maniac steps.

how are we going to handle PS3 vs Wii differences?
CRAZY LOVE has significantly different arrow placement (I think there's even a freeze arrow missing) between the two games towards the end of the song.

Well, this is the work thread for the PS3 version, so the PS3 version will go into the simfile category. No one is stopping you from working on the Wii version, so that version can go to its respective category.
Are there any other songs that have different stepcharts? I wouldn't find it surprising if there are more than just "CRAZY LOVE"

are you sure about that? I did start the thread
(i also did ever snow from a Wii video, and all our media files came from Wii. ppl also suggested the Wii game is "canon" in the game threads)

ok so I went and did some testing on my GOS. I played 20 randomly selected songs from DDR 1st-8th mix. I turned AutoSync on with headphones and I was going to take a average of the adjusted amount and use that as my GOS then retest the sims for DDR 2010. 15 of the songs I played the autosync NEVER adjusted itself. 5 of the songs adjusted by +/- .002 seconds. So apparently the songs I tried were dead on. All the DDR 2010 simfiles are very late. Either my timing is just as off of 20 official files from pre-supernova or something is wrong with the current sims.
I will also note, I did NOT use assistick. I played solely from the audio.

I can sync all of these if need be...I know I had to sync nearly every single file I threw on our machine a week ago.

@sillybear: Honestly, what are the chances that 20 official files happened to all be off by the same amount and my game play happens to be off by the same amount and my sound input happens to be off? Teleprion even stated that he played these on an ITG2 cab and noticed they were very very late.

AFAIK, ITG2AC don't play mp3, so you need ogg version or convert those mp3 to ogg... and you should be aware that CONVERTING ANY AUDIO ALWAYS RUIN THE SONG OFFSET TIMING SPECIFIED IN THE SM FILE... You have to re-adjust your song offset based on the audio you are using. Adjust the song offset based on the ITG2AC's GOS. Submitting official simfiles based on ITG2AC's GOS is not the standard here (or I may say based on altered GOS). MP3 and OGG of the same song can never sync using only one sm file... so they should have separate version of song offset values.
EDIT:
Unless if I'm being told by the z-i-v admins or staffs, I can follow them to listen to your options.

I don't know about the 2010 files, but most of the files in the X2 BETA category are late.

OITG can actually play MP3s which is what I sync to and they sync up perfectly. If you guys want my offsets, I can upload what I have.

The ITG cab that I played the files on was actually running OpenITG, and we put the songs on directly after downloading without changing anything. I was playing X2 beta files, though - haven't tried the DDR 2010 sims yet.

EDIT:: Pretty sure some of the licenses are using terrible cuts before ripped audio was starting to be used so if those are off with the ripped audio, Sorry. I'm downloading everything right now and syncing that

What I remember of X2 beta files is that I found them late by ~0.04-0.06 seconds.
What I remember of 2010 beta files is that I found them late by ~0.03-0.05 seconds.
Can't really provide specific offsets as I don't really keep Ziv audio files if I can get access / own the games or soundtracks. I find the quality tradeoff between 320cbr mp3 and ~200kbps Vorbis to be minimal, whereas the filesize tradeoff is huge - and obviously, Vorbis audio is much more useful to arcade-goers than mp3 audio.

Here is the syncing as of what was online a few hours ago. Excluded Animal because there's a big chunk of arrows missing.

Bad Romance
Sm only.

Plastic Beach
I'm having trouble syncing the arrows correctly. I have the proper bpm in place and it is in sync until the middle of the song. Then it get's back in sync and then off again at the end. I tried to get it at an exact bpm match, but could not seem to do it. Other than that, here are the complete stepcharts.

EDIT: Venus soon.
Sm only.

If ANYONE wants help synching ANYTHING for an official DDR simfile, send me a PM and I'll sync it for you. Don't worry about how difficult it is, the only information I need is what the official DDR song states the BPM as, such as BPM 120-160 or BPM 170 etc.Post #139 · Posted at 2010-12-12 12:49:16am 13.4 years ago

First of all, thank you. However, I'm guessing you just copied the SM and DWI files from Afronova, becaues there's a lot of junk data in them. The CDTitle, DisplayBPM, and SampleStart tags still have that song's data, and you forgot to delete the Doubles charts. Speaking of sample starts, some of them have to be changed, and not just yours:Sm only.
Hope this helps!

You're welcome and yes I did just copy the sm from AFRONOVA because stepmania would not regognize the song when I would import it using stepmania tools. I figured that there would be some loose ends and extra things that would need to be taken care of. This was purely just to provide the stepcharts since you can't record license songs otherwise I would have done that the same time I posted links for the Konami originals. Any help with this problem would be apreciated. I would love to give you stepcharts without all that extra data.
