I have no idea how Event Mode worked in Extreme, but how it worked in X2 before any unlock codes was you'd still only have 3/4 songs per game before going back to the title screen (iirc). So AAA unlocks wouldn't carry over to the next game.

Does it skip the end credits without a "game over" screen? Does it disable menu timers?

When do the end credits show up again, after you beat Extra Stage or Encore Extra Stage?

I'm in class so I can't look myself, but maybe you should try going through my YouTube videos of Round1's tournament in January to see if you can see the menu timer.

In extreme event mode basically disabled the timer, failing and extra stage and you could reset the game at ANY time by hitting all 3 selection buttons.

In supernova 2 event mode just disabled the timer and failing but allowed for extra stage and could only be reset via going to the operator menu.

I havent tried SN1 or X1/2 however i would HOPE that it went back to the old ways of extreme and previous because it was just so much more convenient.

I know X2 Event Mode has Extra Stage, so I assume Encore Extra Stage as well. I'm also pretty sure you can only reset the game by using the operator menu.

SN1's event mode is simply the timer and fail-out disabled.

Hey, adding to the crosswiring issue, basically what happened is this:

-pad input gets recognized as button input (can select music w/ pad, changes speed during play)
-button input gets recognized as pad ONLY if a button and the corresponding arrow on pad is held (can play with menu buttons. Once I cleared DROP Light with them)

However I'm still confused to why could I input MAX unlock code.

How to input?

Insert a credit, then do the code.

FROM FIRST CODE TO SECOND CODE TO ETC.

"Let's get this movin'"
In X2, EVENT MODE disables timer screen only (also EVENT MODE is displayed in bottom of screen, where the credits are)
Enable and disable are available only inside operator menu.
Also, FREE PLAY must be ON before enable EVENT MODE.

Sorry to bump, but can anyone tell me how MACHINE EDIT DATA works? The machine at DisneyQuest has one edit that's permanently on there under that folder, and I have no idea as to how it got there.

When you play an edit data on a machine, it'll ask to save that edit or not (if you get to at least FINAL STAGE). After that, it'll sit on that folder. After the set, the machine will ask to save to eAmuse. If you say NO then it'll skip everything altogether and show the score summary. Choose YES then it'll ask to save to machine. YES again and you can select one edit data per player to save.

So someone, somehow played that edit data and saved it.

A machine can hold maximum 100 edit data. After that, it will erase data based on popularity, i.e. the least played one will be erased.

If the count don't get to 100, data will stay forever unless wiped from operator menu.

Oh wow, thanks! I take it the US cabinets don't ask about eAmuse, but it's nice to know I can copy data onto the machine for future play!

Thanks much, +5's all around.

However, US cabinets still ask about eAmuse, which is kinda weird.

Edits work on US cabs.
It's just that, some songs won't work with edits since there is a limited bunch that would accept them.

IIRC, there is a limit of 150 mesures for a stepchart.
I say this i case you use simphony and try to make an edit of Delta Max (because it maybe breaks the 150 mesure limit).
This reminds me that i have to check the simphony thread...

Officially new (X2) songs can't be used with edits, although I believe tools like SimPhony will create edits that the machine will accept for those songs.
