Yeah thanks a lot and for the fix so fast too! I was wondering if I had to use the old 5th mix characters from sm 3.9 or not. =D

You could use the old characters, they're still compatible in sm-ssc. Smile The only things that have changed are the dance pad file names.

Now I can use that old cow dancer from what 2nd mix ps1. And the ddr pc characters. I always wanted to dance as Jason Enos!!! XD

OK, downloaded the latest sm-ssc and the theme. Let's see...

Hmm, this is something I expected to be fixed in this theme: Listen carefully to the Konami sound at in ScreenInit. You'll notice some sort of "noise" playing each second after the actual sound. This "issue" comes directly from Patrick's theme xD


EDIT: another weird behavior...
Blah, it's mentioned in the readme (it's the DifficultyList issue when not selecting a song). Forget it.

EDIT2: Challenge/Oni/SManiac/whatever... is pink too?

EDIT3: Check the lifebar... there're some "dots" where the life graphic can be seen (open the image in a new window/tab)

EDIT4: "Make StageDisplay show proper number of stages left." -- maybe it's related to sm-ssc itself. Take a look in OpenITG's source, since it has been fixed there.

EDIT X: the game crashes when trying to load ScreenHowToPlay for the lack of characters stuff:

Why would you assume this would be fixed in an ALPHA version of the theme? Especially when you consider that I don't play StepMania with the sound on anymore (99% of the time). The thing about the audio problems - they're meant to be fixed LATER, when I'm absolutely sure. (I don't know whether or not Test My Best actually plays on the Dancemania part or not, etc.)

StageDisplay was removed as a C++ class a LONG TIME AGO in StepMania 5 (back when it was called StepMania 4).

it is not my fault if people do not download character files and expect ScreenHowToPlay to work.

Needs more info, like a crashlog.txt. If it's the same problem I was having, then I need to release a new version of sm-ssc.

At least in the PSX version is played Test my Best in the Dancemania part. Still haven't found a video showing the Arcade demo loop

Well, i installed and working good, except in some cases (for me).

1. The game is in Home - Access Violation after select a Game Mode.
2. Online Mode - Access Violation after create a game room.
This can be solved playing in FREE MODE

3. You cannot access the 3rd Stage with default settings. - Access Violation
no idea about that.

As a note, the topleft star in ScreenGameplay Cleared also shows in 16:9

I got a weird crash after I went back from gameplay since the video for the song didn't show. Sadly I can't find a crashlog for that...
Edit: Argh, I just noticed that sm-ssc overwrites the crashinfo.txt instead of saving it with a timestamp. I got too used to OpenITG, it seems >.<

http://code.google.com/p/sm-ssc/ works perfectly fine for me.

The Windows installer for sm-ssc v1.2 is at http://sm-ssc.googlecode.com/files/sm-ssc_v1.2.exe, maybe that will work for you.
