Be sure to check if you have the hardware acceleration turned on in browser to be able to play this correctly. Works perfectly fine in Chrome.
Tested - works good, dance pad support is correct. Well and that's pretty much it as there is not much to tinker with in this.

I’m using Chrome. It plays fine with no lag just the dancer video isn’t the prettiest. It’s much better if I don’t play it in full screen.

I'm trying to find where to play it, but don't see a link on the index after making a login.
You have to click on the header image on the DDR V website.

Did you see this brown box on the home page? That's where you start the game.

Do we know if the final product will be a Windows executable, or is it going to be a browser game as the current build?

Works alright for a first alpha.
Goodness the lack of speed mods and the nonstop announcer tho.
But lowkey, hoping this test goes well enough to speed up konami shipping out those official higher quality home DDR pads.

I really hope it will be an executable but I fear it will just be browser based. Why have the alpha be on a different platform then the end release?

Logged in to my eAmuse, and tried to play, but I got an Information box after the download with some Japanese text before it sends me back to the main menu. Has anyone else gotten that yet? Can't seem to play because of this, whatever it is.

So, rhythm game YouTuber Etienne made a video about this. It's about what you'd expect. Kinda has the message of "even for an alpha, this is fucked", and I agree with him.

I assure you the one with the Universe 2 songs in back in DDROC days was worse than this.

i remember that flash game actually (it was on konami-play.com and up for a few years) the songlist actually comprised of mostly uni3, but there was one uni2 song on there
it was a uni3 promo essentially though it did use assets from the first two uni games moreso
i think it ran ok, slightly laggier by a very, very small margin than V but it wasn't terribad imo

I am actually curious if Konami is making this DDR V due to their other areas of trades like fitness and gambling's profit margin are greatly impacted by the pandemic...
Wondering if DDR V would actually be a thing if the pandemic never happened...

Is there any reason to play this over just using SM5?

I honestly think DDR V has a lot of potential.
The game isn't that great right now, but it's not the final release. I'm sure the game has tons of fixing to do, and tons more songs to add on the song list.
...but I think the game could be a nice browser game to go to for those who don't play StepMania, or whenever school is accessible again and students could play the game during free time or whatever.

I’m so happy that Come To Life is playable in the demo. It’s one of my favorite songs.
But I don’t have computer or Konami ID

Getting a Konami ID is easy... a computer on the other hand might take a bit more effort
I expect a subscription of sorts if it stays browser only. I could not see Konami keeping this free.
