And my point is everyone who actually would've given a shit about launch 3rd parties will get their launch 3rd parties.

Could care less than 0 if those are brand new games or not, as long as the highly-clamoring general public demands any 3rd party support (save for yearly-releases popular series like Call of Duty and Fifa/PES games which have been proven time and time again to be big sellers in a lot of markets, in which cases the yearly series continuation feels like a must).

@Oni-91: my first post's sense for that one line was about testing how strong these 3rd-party deals will be proven to be while passing through the test of time. Just like Wii U, a shiny new toy easily gathers interest by companies which would otherwise ignore said platform/s (if not entirely), but if the system is proven not to be as profitable for their titles as expected/hoped, many software houses instantly become less attached to the once-shiny new toy.

Go tell that to Electronic Arts and Ubisoft for their Wii U experience, if you don't believe me!

Yeesh, everyone is so negative about the Switch, and we still don't even know much about it. You guys wanna wait til we get more/specific info before passing judgment?... anyone?.... Bueller?

I for one am pretty hype of the new system; there's practically double the 3rd-Party support the Wii U had around this time, and the prospect of taking a console game on the go with you is gonna be very tempting for people. My only real concern is going to be how powerful the graphics "chip" is gonna be; Nvidia is saying it's going to be as good as a "higher-end GTX card". Outside of that, the sky's the limit with what Nintendo and the 3rd-Parties could be making. Plus, this is gonna be region-free, which is going to be a first for Nintendo.

Well, no one waits for any "specific info" before acting like each new Nintendo console is the second coming of Christ, so no.

Don't give a shit about Skyrim, interesting to see 2K do a NBA game on the console, obviously they were stopping the Splatfest because of the new console, so the game was gonna get a sequal or updated version on the NX, Mario Kart and a 3D Mario game was obvious as well, and of course Breath of the Wild. The console looks interesting, the fact that it can have full games run on controllers with half the buttons and be usable for two players is interesting, but we'll see how it performs.

Quickman, you're a real fucking pessimistic bastard, just wanted to say that cause honestly, all the comments I've seen from you have been complete negative, even in other threads. And so you can't say I'm just defending the console as a fanboy, The Wii U honest to god sucked, I do have a few games for it, and when I feel like it, I'll play it, but it just sits there most of the time, and I'll be playing either on my PS3, or my PC, since I have a load of games for both of those too. Meanwhile all we have for true details is what the console looks like, a few games confirmed, and a list of developers set to make at least a game for the console. Tone down the salty attitude til you have far more details, then I'll start taking your words actually seriously.

While it's unfortunate, at least one person is going to dislike something, no matter what, and vice versa, plus, there are people that have expressed their opinion more violently than Quickman has in the past. I think we can all agree we aren't getting the Switch for Skyrim. Hell, Bethesda themselves have said it's not even confirmed; they just wanted to contribute to the trailer. Same goes with NBA 2K16; that's obviously not gonna come out (Why would it? the system would be releasing right at the end of the 2016-17 season, so it would make zero sense to do so).

Btw, when I said, "Specific info", I meant what the specs of the system are, what games are actually coming out for it (besides the ones we already know about), how the UI is gonna work, etc. Plus, if the rumors of the screen on the controller being multi-touch are true, that opens a lot more possibilities than anyone who has made games on Nintendo's other touch-screen based devices could do in the past. For example, we could see a console version of CrossBeats REV if Capcom wanted to make it happen, and so on.

Well to be fair, quickman's comments make it hard to express positive opinions on the Nintendo Switch. I mean, to constantly banter on the consoles 4 games they showcased in a reveal trailer (even though other companies showed titles such as DragonQuest) makes it hard to be happy for the reveal.

Similar to the first sound voltex announcement with negative response and even throughout the museca 1+1/2 announcement, if people are very VERY angry or revolted at such a product, it ruins hype.

I cant say anything about the console because there's not much details, but can we just stay positive?

(and for the record, every console, and even PC has had ported games before, including that skyrim definitive edition... so porting games or having remasters isn't new, or at least those games aren't "new" titles to begin with, right?)

I'm slightly sceptical of the portable multiplayer controller, due to how small it is. However, never tried it so I can't be certain.

Additional Edit: The rest of the console looks fun, improves the WiiU making it look a whole lot better.

So, I've said what I said, and I'm happy I did. I'm not being guilted into believing I did wrong, and to prove that this was a one off effort of mine, just something I wanted to put out there, I stop discussing this here.

I remember having a positive mindset about a previous Nintendo console after seeing the first couple clips of what it looked like, and then it came out and now I still have a bitter taste in my mouth with regards to the Wii U. The overall game library is underwhelming to be incredibly kind; it's had four years to leave an impression and the only one it left was as another Smash Box.

I'm well aware that as console details are finalized down the stretch and financial standpoints are taken into account, features that were expected to be included early on are removed and while we still get a great product, some pieces might feel missing. However, Nintendo is notoriously bad with this, in years prior they strip away early features and leave so many pieces on the table that just wind up getting fine tuned for future consoles. They aren't in a strong financial situation, so I can't expect much to come from this, and I anticipate features being removed in the future.

In summation, Switch has to break a streak of Ninty consoles being underwhelming Smash Boxes and do other things. Make me want it, cause just being able to take it on the go isn't good enough.
