[Theme] In The Groove 2 For SM5 BETA 4 | RELEASED! (REVISION 4)

A long quest after seeing this theme in a youtube video 3 months or so ago, without open comments, and no theme name stated, I've found it! It looks great. I love it! The effort of searching so much was worth it.

one small issue
this message used to pop up whenever I tried to get to the song select screen

and then stepmania would close
I'm not very knowledgeable about stepmania themes, so I made a folder in the Graphics folder called ScreenSelectMusic BPMDisplay. It now lets me get to the song select screen, and works great, except it doesn't display BPM. I guess it's because there is a file missing? I downloaded the .zip on 4shared that was linked in the top post... Am I supposed to download something else?
Also my gameplay looks different..

ahaha I feel rather dumb since I have no idea why it's being different than in the screenshots and video;;;

It's possible that the theme hasn't been updated for SM5 beta 4 yet, but that's just a guess on my end.

Alright, first... in what version are you using the Theme, the Theme hasn't been tested in the newer Beta 4. About that problem, the Theme works perfectly on Beta 3.

Im gonna test the Theme on the Beta 4... looking for any bug/error/etc.

What you mean your ScreenGameplay Looks differents? Remember turn On the Percentage Scoring on Appearance Options (if Im correct) for fix the 000,000,000 zeros on the Screen.

Also, the BPMDisplay only displays the BPM (Numbers 000) and not the word BPM if you mean that... Anything else just ask... since the Beta 4 is finally released, Im gonna update all my themes to that version.

I was originally using SM5 beta 2a, and in effort to fix the problem updated to SM5 beta 3, being extra careful to make sure it wasn't 4 since the top post says
and I wanted to try everything I could think of as somebody that knows nothing about themes.

Also oh hi I remember coming across that website in your signature when trying to find this theme and I think the moonlight theme is super amazing in it's calmness.

I was wondering if the gray backing to where the arrows scroll is intentional since it isn't in the screenshots you posted and looks rather weird, and how do I get the BPM to show on song select?

That is the ScreenFilter, you can disable that on the Options when you choose a song, press enter twice and you get all the availables options, find the Filter and disable it.

About the BPM on the music select... can you please take a screenshot because im not sure about what you mean, the BPM on the ScreenGameplay shows only the 3 digits corresponding to the BPM...

On the ScreenSelectMusic (where you select/choose a song) it shows the same, also there's should have a BPM label... Can you please post a screenshot about what is wrong with the BPM?

mm... Try something, if you are already using the Theme with the Beta 3... close the Stepmania and restart it again... if the problem still there tell me for trying to fix your problem.

Alright, I've tried restarting stepmania and the problem is still here, unfortunately. Is it possibly related to my not being able to get to ScreenSelectMusic before because of the missing ScreenSelectMusic BPMDisplay folder? I'm just guessing though.

Ok, I found that my theme shows a lot of error on the Beta 4, I will try to fix them all... but Since them dont interfere with the normal gameplay I have to fix some problems...

About your problem try something.

Step 1:

inside the folder In The Groove 2, go to the Graphics folder, inside there find the file "ScreenSelectMusic BPMDisplay.lua", open it (is recommended open it with a lua editor for example Notepad++)... now delete everything and copy this:

Step 2:

Go to the Fonts folder (inside the ITG2 Theme folder) and find the file "BPMDisplay bpm.redir", open it with any text editor and delete everything and write this:

Common Normal

Then save it.

Step 3:

Finally, go to the Metrics.ini file located in the In The Groove 2 folder (is highly recommended open this file with Notepad++). Search this "[ScreenSelectMusic]", and find this:

BPMDisplayX=SCREEN_CENTER_X+222
BPMDisplayY=SCREEN_CENTER_Y-25
BPMDisplayOnCommand=zoom,0.9;
BPMDisplayOffCommand=

Replace this "BPMDisplayOnCommand=zoom,0.9;" with this "BPMDisplayOnCommand=zoom,0.66;"

Doing these 3 Steps you fix the problem, I do it and now the BPM looks correctly.

How do I make the red songs not red? ITG2 didn't highlight boss songs, so I would prefer to not have them highlighted when using this theme. In SM3.9 it was part of stepmania.ini, but I can't find it in the preferences or the theme metrics to save my life.

under the [MusicWheel] section of the metrics and complete it with the color of your preference (you'll want "white")

howdy there! so i when I play a song, the mods dont stretch, they just stack, kind of breaking the theme
I am running beta 3
and ideas? :c

i don't know if its stepmania 5 beta 4 because i havent tried it in beta 3 but when i play and freeze arrows and mines pop up. theres errors that pop up but do not affect gameplay. blue boxes with white writing.

If it's only freezes and mines, I'd guess it's a bad noteskin, but I can't be sure without knowing what the messages say the problem is.

Sorry for not taking the feedbacks of my themes, specially this one... I have been doing others stuffs and not doing nothing about Theming this time... All that is because the lua has an error and Beta 4 show in-game the lua error...

I will try to figure out all the errors my Themes has for make a new update, because I didnt release a official version for Beta 4 of the ITG 2 Theme...
