Really highly unlikely, Konami hasn't made any Bemani home releases (besides the iOS games) in a long time.

For reference, the last non-iOS Bemani game* was DDR II in late 2011. So, just over 3 years ago.
*not counting Classroom Edition since that's not a home release and doesn't really qualify as a game. It's really just an exercise tool.

I was thinking more in the mindset of Japanese releases, because I was assuming that if Konami was going to release IIDX anywhere, it'd be there.

Getting e-AMUSEMENT in other locations that aren't Asia would make me think this would start happening again. It's not ridiculously unlikely, but don't hedge your hopes on getting DDR 2014 or Pendual on the XBone or PS4.

because rock band 4 and guitar hero 7 are being released and somehow that means that there's a revived interest in cs rhythm games
that and people are stuck in the past

Classroom Edition is something I forget about because it's so bad. I can't forget about X. It's not particularly bad. Just... not amazing.
I wouldn't mind them re-releasing IIDX for the XBOX360/PS3 in the US or something, but that probably won't happen.

Honestly these types of threads pop up all the time, it's because people want access to their precious rhythm games.Post #16 · Posted at 2015-03-10 06:02:43pm 9.2 years ago

That would be an awesome original theme for that game! I can't help but think that the Japanese version, if there is one, should follow suit as well, considering it would take six years (if not more) for them to catch up from SIRIUS to PENDUAL, and that's not counting if Konami continues making new AC releases yearly (We would be at IIDX28 or 29 by the time the CS versions caught up to 22. >>). In other words, both US and JP versions should be the exact same experience, and should be a "Greatest Hits" release that has a wide variety of songs from 17 through 22, with DLC Packs filling in any gaps, and possibly including some older songs as well.
The only concern with the proof of concept is that the PS3 is starting to antiquate, so a PS4 version would be ideal at this point.
But yeah, I love the style of the title screen and the eAmuse-esque login screen. : )

Even if we all know the answer we still like to talk about it... dunno why that would be a problem for anyone. IT wont happen though. Not for awhile. Konami learned some painful lessons in the past trying to encroach on the american rhythm game market. Which is so unreliable it is even volatile to itself. (RIP DJ Hero)
While on the topic, was the KOC included w/ American IIDX total garbage or was that just me? (It's still the only KOC I've ever used...so I wouldn't really know)
...IIRC it felt like playing IIDX with cheap shiny plastic guitar hero controller buttons. Very clunky and non tactile.

The American KOC is actually better than the Japanese ones, as the Japanese controller uses plunger-based buttons that get stuck much more easily. It still feels cheap and plastic when compared to the Arcade, but unless you want to unload a few hundred bucks on a DJ Dao, the American controller is your best bet.
Anyway, yeah, I don't think we'll ever see another CS release for IIDX/DDR/anything Bemani for a while, if ever again. That concept art is still cool... they should try making a LR2/Stepmania 5 Beat Mode theme.
