Could come on up for that. I must say that it would be exciting. Never been to a pump tournament before.
Edit: Entering the ITG tournament would simply be out of the question for me. With only having access to DDR all these years I haven't been able to push myself to be classified as a higher level player. A real shame indeed.

Arcade Odyssey is nice but IDK how you can play PIU with the music is really low, The place has music playing loud in there for some reason...I pass by there almost everyday and I only went in there like 4 times.//

Cruised down the International Drive area today, and I found a new location with decent DDR! ...well, sort of.
http://zenius-i-vanisher.com/v5.2/arcadelocations.php?locationid=2550
It's not the DDR itself that's bad so much as the pricing. You can read all about it in the Location link above, but I'm going to post about my experience here as well to make sure folks know what they're going into should they decide to make the trip. Essentially copy-pasted from my comment that I left.
"Found this location [WhirlyDome Orlando] today while driving down the International Drive corridor. Came in, had a look at things, and couldn't believe the DDR machine I found. I hadn't seen a DDR Extreme look that good since I started playing back in 2003. As I'd later find out, not all that glitters is gold. Just to play a 1-player game, it's 2 bucks. Joint Premium is enabled, but still, $2. For DDR Extreme. That's crazy. Second of all, the Max Stage was 2. 2 songs. For 2 bucks. The thing that finally made me pull the attendant aside was that, upon trying to get to Nonstop and Challenge modes, found out I couldn't. On either side. It was somehow locked. I didn't even know that was a thing. I spent some time speaking to the attendant, telling them how unreasonable a price that was, all things considered, and gave him some suggestions. I'm -hoping- that things will change."
Went to other locations today and updated some locations accordingly. The ITG2 is gone from Magical Midway, Dave and Busters actually seems to be keeping up with pad maintenance, but they've got obnoxiously loud background music that's -so- loud you can't hear the X2 music. WonderWorks' DDR X still has crud for pads, Fun Spot Orlando doesn't have any sort of rhythm gaming since they removed their Extreme, and I didn't get a chance to drop by USF or IOA to test their X2s again. Probably should do that before/after work one of these days.

So I take it a trip to orlando is looking less and less feesable? I'm not going to take a 3 hour trip on the bus only to find shitty pads/machine. I absolutely refuse to do so. I'll only travel to for X2 or ITG. I have access to extreme here, but I want to travel some place that is worth traveling to. I thought I had bad in maryland!

Well, that's America for you.I mean, unless you just so happen to be living in South California or at a convention that somehow gets it hands on an X2/X3 upgraded cab or something...*glare*

Hey, Tampa here. I have a DDR machine which has been converted to OpenITG with all ITG/DDR and custom mixes (8000 songs and always growing) If you're in tampa and have nowhere good to play anymore feel free to contact me. I also recently aquired a Pop'n Stage.

I'm going to college in Florida once I graduate high school (which is next year). I'm either gonna go to college in Tampa, Orlando, or Fort Lauderdale. But most likely it'll be Orlando because I love the college there the best. Plus there are tons of DDR AC's there so that's great to know. I'm actually in Orlando ATM. Anyone else live there or near there?

What DDR?
There is only DDR X2 in D&B.

I went there not too long ago. But there are other places too. Look at the map locator. There are tons of places that have DDR in Orlando (some are in better quality than others though).

I guess "tons" was a little overexaggerated. I'm just saying there's a good number of them to go to. Most of them are bad yeah but at least there a few good/decent ones. But 2 songs for $2? What a rip-off. They really need to change that.

Firkin and Kegler's SN2 is usually always in great shape, with a good Extreme in the Waterford Lakes close to that. Every X2 is a gamble so you probably shouldn't count those as Aegis said. Eventually I'll be in the market for a cabinet myself, hopefully then we can hype up the scene in Central FL.

Tried Firkin & Kegler as well as Waterford's cinema.
Not a wise choice to go to them. :/
