Anime Recommendations?

It all depends on what is "good anime". I just pick up depend on how the summary catches my eyes. (And so far they are all "good"~ :3)

YEA THAT'S IT!!! A anime-hentai friend/fanatic of mine randomly showed me a site with the video up for online viewing, lol! I think my brain cracked as I laugh at the dub to the pleasure of viewing anime sex. (Come on! I don't watch a lot of these stuff and yet I collect pictures/doujinshi scans [translated]!)

That's my 3rd favorite anime this season. I really love the art in that one. My favorite would have to be Persona 4. 2nd favorite, Mirai Nikki. That one is quite creepy.

Mirai Nikki. I haven't seen that yet, but I might give it a try then. Persona 4 bored me and I'm not a Persona fan so I probably wouldn't understand a lot of it anyhow.

I watched Soul Eater and did not enjoy the experience.

Azumanga Daioh

Anybody mind recommending me anything along the lines of those? Preferably a show that's already over.

I watched about 5 episode of the dub for Soul Eater. Either FUNimation didn't take it seriously or just felt the need to give it children's show dialogue that was absolutely cheesy and awful.

I felt like laughing half the time. I will give an example:

Episode 3: When we see the witch attempting to summon the Pharaoh. It grabs her and kills her. During this segment, we hear the witch go. "Nooooo, Oh no it's grabbed me. Oh no it's pulling me in. NOOOOOOOOOO" or something along those lines.

Soul Eater had 15 voice actors from Yuyu Hakusho and Bones was in charge of animation, so I started off with high expectations. Black Star and the forced comedy breaks made the show highly annoying. And because of that show I hate Excalibur. Three filler episodes for a 51-episode show.

See if you can get ahold of Galaxy Angel. It's a series that spawned from a dating sim. However, it ditches the romantic dating sim background to bring viewers a space-based comedy with loads of slapstick and a light touch of actual action.

There's liek five seasons at about 18-52 episodes each, but they're short little 15-minute episodes. They're almost like Bugs Bunny-ish "completely new situation every episode" deals, so with the exception of a few episodes that introduce a new character, there's not much continuity between them.

The only one I haven't seen was Galaxy Angel Rune, but from what I've read, it's the weakest season by far.

Yeah, that's the series.

And I watched the dub, but then again, I'm the kind of person who tends to prefer dubs anyway. The only non-h series I've watched that had dubs I couldn't handle was Karin.

I usually try to veer from dubs for shows that have a lot of humor in them. The dub usually ruins in or it just doesn't work (like Needless. The show makes use of a lot of word-play that just doesn't work in the Dub)

Most of the humor is slapstick, so if I remember right, there's not a heck of a lot of verbal comedy to lose in translation.

Ooh, I loved the Galaxy Angel series. I've watched the original, Galaxy Angel Z and some of Galaxy Angel A.

It's pure comedy that always makes me laugh. The channel I watched original and Z on, Animax, made an itsy-bitsy mistake while dubbing for Z, though. In it, Milfeulle (pink-haired 17-year old, I believe), is called as Milfuelle and Forte got dubbed by a guy, oops.
