Thank you to those who weren't assholes and actually posted legitimately instead of trying to sound clever by laughing at me because I asked this question. Yes, Butterfly was obviously going to curb-stomp everything, but I was interested in a)by how much and b)what else would rank high. That's my reasoning, at least.
... Also, I tried my best to ignore posts I suspected of just trying to troll me. But... yeah, Darude - Sandstorm had to be there.

You didn't include my tribute to Max 300 master race?
How dare you...

To be fair, you were kinda asking for it. :/

I don't even know those 2nd mix songs you oldbies
except for
#1 - Freaking Butterfly
#2 - Love Shine
#3 - Captain Jack
#4 - Max 300
#5 - PSMO unless that merges with Paranoia, but come on now it has its own abbreviation; how was it not up here.
Guess my friends are the only ones who spammed Cartoon Heroes.

Mmmmhmmmm. I sure don't believe that.
I'm pretty sure polls don't work like that. Or at least during the collection phase.Post #51 · Posted at 2014-11-08 01:27:09am 9.5 years ago

Paranoia and Trip Machine are the first boss songs.
And Uranus Oni is the hardest 8. It's an 8 so hard they rated it 10 lol

If we're talking legit old rating, that goes to Paranoia Hades which is now a 15. If we're talking "old school", Waka Laka still has that distinction. That jump stream is far more brutal than anything Witch Doctor throws at you.

#1. Healing Vision ~Angelic Mix~ (It's been my ringtone for years, so of course it's my #1.)
#2. Trim (I love what kobo did with this song, he needs more songs in more Bemani games.)
#3. SO DEEP (PERFECT SPHERE MIX) (Favorite trance song of all time for me.)
#4. MAX 300 (This one is obvious, cause I remember hitting the extra stage and getting this song for the first time on the PS2)
#5. nightbird lost wing (Love what Nekomata Master does.)

I know I already made a top 5 for this thread. (see first page) However, I feel like it's too hard to make one top 5 list when there are so many good DDR songs out there. So, I'm making another top 5.
5. TRIP MACHINE CLIMAX
4. IF YOU WERE HERE
3. WAKA LAKA
2. GET UP'N MOVE
1. PARANOiA
HONOURABLE MENTIONS: Amalgamation, SUNKISS DROP, BURNIN' THE FLOOR, BRILLIANT 2U (Orchestra Groove), MAKE A JAM!

"Let's Do the Rain Dance" |
#1. AM-3P - This is where I think DDR for the first time felt like a real dance game in terms of soundtrack. I could see this actually being spun by a DJ at a 2000's club, and the melodies help build the mysterious but wondrous atmosphere.
#2. WILD RUSH - In theory, this track with its repetitive samples and multiple non-standard BPMs, should just be a bust for me. And yet somehow it works, and I must give it extreme props for that.
#3. DROP THE BOMB - NAOKI's content from the early games may be well-remembered, but it's impossible to ignore Scott Dolph's contributions early on. He was main vocalist for a lot of the songs the console versions latched onto (this, MIDNITE BLAZE, and lesson by DJ), but this one I picked because it had an atmospheric quality that most of the euro-trance songs in this DDR era lacked.
#4. MAXIMIZER - The main MAX series may have seemingly more iconic songs, but this is the one that actually has melodies that can earworm their way into your memory, along with the mood changes to the franticness of the series' iconic synth.
#5. Qipchaq - world sequence's return was amazing, and this track mixes both march and middle-eastern instrumentals, which are some of my preferences in music. I'm not putting it higher however since it's rather new (and thus my opinion could turn out to be hyped up) and while it does act as an icon for the foreign-styled music in the series, it's not so much for the franchise as a whole.

#1 - Healing Vision -Angelic Mix - (It literally dips you in the game! The mix of the beautiful song and of the hospital beeps give you the must of passing this chart, but the hard charts given for this one make it a challenge and you'll do everything to pass it. That's why it's so memorable and possibly one of the most iconic.)
#2 - MAX 300 (It's one of the most famous charts in the entire game and it's also the first 10 footer of the entire game...so yeah, putting this in here.)
#3 - B4U (This is one of the best Naoki's songs. It has a really nice beat and it's also fun to dance to it.)
#4 - DROP OUT (In my opinion this song is strangely charming, it also had some interesting patterns and it's considerably consistent.)
#5 - BUTTERFLY (It's popular and...eh, that's it)

I would say all of Witch Doctor is harder than all of Waka Laka. I'm basing this on me never FCing Witch Doctor in any Oni courses yet I've FC'd Happy Hardcore a few times.
