I'm on a sim-collecting kick right now. What are some packs from the old days you think aged well, or you want newer players to know about them?
It's not that I don't want modern packs, it's just the 2000's ones are a lot harder to find and it's rare to find good ones when you do, so I need help from people who've been around a while.

Back on the AIJ forum, like 2007 or 2008, Evil Dave made a pack that had Now You're Gone, Don't Stop The Music, and a very gimmicky (but amazing) Harder Better Faster Stronger. But I'll be damned if I can actually find it to download again anywhere.

If you're looking for old packs, the DDRExtreme.co.uk/DDREvolved packs may interest you? They're from 2004-2013, and a few newer packs since just before Christmas, thread here https://zenius-i-vanisher.com/v5.2/thread?threadid=10855
Also probably the Tournamix/BEST-mix packs, you can find those online, I think BLueSS is working on uploading some of the older BEST-mix packs.

DWI Extreme and DDR4Ever are my two favorites song collections that aren't DDR/ITG/mungyo, from said era. We're talking hundreds of songs in each one.
DWI Extreme is more trance music with some pop thrown in, a lot of Bemani stuff in the earlier mixes. Get Down, 1, 2, 3 Go!, Mirage (Paula Terry's non DDR stuff), Honoo no Tobira (any Yoko Ishida is great), and Energize, would be my top 5.
DDR4Ever is more pop music [Dancemania licenses?] especially early 2000s stuff. You won't find many "boss" songs in the collection though.

The Albumix series was pretty good during this time. Seconding the DWI extreme series as well. Dancing WipEout was ok as well (avoid the edit difficulties tho)

I agree with the users above me recommending DWI Extreme and the Plaguemix series. Quality simfiles right there.
I wanna add Kita Keru to the list. They had a whole series of simfiles called Flightmix. But that might be lost to history.
The Stepmix series from the Stepmania website was popular back in the late 2000's. I would search for those.
Also google the DDRMAX 3 series for stepmania. They worked really hard on those simfiles. Even created a whole theme to go along with it.
