Information
One of the largest amusement parks on the East Coast, Six Flags Great Adventure is home toAt the moment, there are two separate fully enclosed arcades inside the park. The larger of the two, Studio 28 Arcade, is located near Batman: The Ride and contains a large number of redemption games and coin pushers alongside racing games, air hockey tables, skeeball machines, and hoops. The smaller arcade, Boardwalk Game Center, is located near the Enchanted Teacups and primarily focuses on ticket redemption games.
For the 2023 season, they also had a new experience called the Gaming House located near Justice League. This was a private, reservation-only gaming cafe with a number of PCs and Xboxes that you can play games such as Fortnite, League of Legends, and FIFA for free. Time will tell if this section remains; as of a visit in July 2023, it only had one other person taking advantage of it on a hot summer day, and as of opening weekend 2024, there are no signs of it being active any longer.
This park has had other arcade sections that have come and gone over the years; notably, only steps away from the current Studio 28 Arcade is a building with a castle brickwork facade that is currently used as a haunted mirror maze during Fright Fest. This location originally opened as the "Pinball Parlor" in the 80's, but underwent several changes throughout the years. In the mid 2000's, it was known as the "Castle Arcade" and contained a pair of DDR Extreme cabs. As per one of the employees at the Boardwalk Game Center, all final traces of rhythm games in the park were removed during the pandemic season of 2021.
This ZIv listing is for the other miscellaneous prize redemption machines and photobooths that are scattered throughout the park. As of March 2024, it seems that most of the standalone photobooths have been removed, and the only ones that remain are located inside of the arcades. None of these games take tokens, and as Great Adventure is currently a "cashless" park, your only options are credit card or NFC payment.
While the park is open almost entirely year-round these days, hours do vary by season; please check the website for the most up-to-date schedule. For the 2024 season, they are open primarily weekends only until Memorial Day at which point they will transition to regular daily operation.

Log in to add your own comments!Unfortunately, they no longer have many of their DDR machines. It seems they have replaced most of them with the typical board walk games (dumb games where you waste your money). The only machine i found left standing was the supernova 2 and the pads were not maintained very well. Disappointed.
Personally.
If I were to go here again with a group of friends.
I'd stop by the Arcade within the park. But since your in Jersey I'd stop by 8otb or STIXs you can just head over there after your done in the park. Since they have way more games there.
